Acton-Boxboro Youth Hockey Association

All boys JV and Varsity parents are invited to help create a positive community for the players, coaches, and parents of our boys hockey teams through the Boosters.

The Acton-Boxborough Boys Hockey Boosters Committee consists of parents of the JV and Varsity players who meet periodically throughout the year to discuss the teams' budget, help with fundraising efforts, plan events for the season, and coordinate volunteer opportunities. The funds raised by the Boosters help supplement the hockey teams' budget when the high school's athletics budget cannot meet all of the teams' needs.

The Acton-Boxborough Boys Hockey Boosters Committee welcomes all JV and Varsity parents to its meetings.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Last but not least, we provide additional financial support to the teams to cover extra items not in the school’s budget. These types of items typically include: yearbooks, banquet subsidy, senior scholarships, and locker room upgrades. This year, it also includes: extra ice time, clothing, and equipment.

ONGOING FUNDRAISERS

• Flamingo Flockings – flock your friends for a $20 donation
• 50/50 Raffle – at every Varsity home game
• Program sponsorships – place your ad in a Varsity home program for $50

COMMUNICATION

Meetings – The Boosters meet periodically throughout the year. Meetings are open to coaches and parents of JV and Varsity players. In the off-season, meetings are open to coaches and parents of all returning JV and Varsity players.

Parent and Coach Contact Lists – Coordinated by the Boosters and distributed to parents via email.

Ongoing Parent Communication – The Boosters provide ongoing communication to parents primarily through email.
